• In the dining room, you'll want something stain resistant. Wool, nylon, and some cotton rugs are stain resistant and easy to clean. Avoid natural fibers like jute because they absorb liquid, making stain removal tricky (i.e. red wine is nearly impossible to remove). Be sure to choose a lower pile or flat weave rug so that chairs can easily move across the rug.
