Fashion Translation: Sepia Tinted Style
I remember when Instagram first came on the scene — I wanted to filter every single photo sepia-toned. To me, there’s nothing more romantic, sentimental, and sweet than a sepia tinted photograph even if it’s just a photo of my cat! These days, the fashion world has had a resurgence of ‘70s inspired style and with that comes a warmer, more golden hour-y style of photography. The patterns are decidedly old world with lots of ornate florals, traditional ornamentals, and intricate details. The key here is to put a twist on the trend to avoid looking too aged!

The colors for this trend are a bit spicy, reminiscent of what you’d find in a Moroccan open-air market. Think rich hues of gold, persimmon, deep navy, vibrant crimson, and burnt sienna. Truly, these colors are classic home decor shades, but spun in an entirely different stylistic direction. I’d love to see any of these rugs paired with a lounge-y white linen sofa in a loft space. For me, the inclusion of white space makes these rugs feel totally fresh and updated.
