- AREA RUGS
Originally a construction style developed in the Caucasian region, the Soumak rug is an organic, hand-knotted, flat-woven rug that India has made its own over the centuries. Traditional designs predominate this award-winning collection, but the Jaimak Collection combines the benefits of contemporary color and durable New Zealand wool for rug styling that adds sophistication to any environment. Through its unique herringbone effect and distinctive double-sided pattern, Jaimak creates a luxurious look and feel far exceeding its economical pricepoint. Flat-woven rugs are unique due to their method of construction. Unlike knotted wool rugs, flat-woven rugs are made on a loom. They are thin with a very low pile, making them ideal for an entryway where door clearance is an issue. However, they are extremely durable and many are reversible for extended life and beauty. Please Note:
